If you choose the metro card option

This way, you’ll enjoy free transportation throughout Paris with its excellent metro network. You’ll need to pick up the card as it has a chip on it and can’t be sent by email. The pick up point is near the Louvre Museum (which you’ll visit anyway) so you won’t lose much time collecting it.

Step 5. If you chose the 3-day metro card option, you’ll have to pick up your card once in Paris
